Features & Compatibility

Early KMZ (Krasnogorsk) made Jupiter 9 made in 1960 (Fully Serviced).

Lens No. 6016906

Lens has clean glass, no dust inside, no oil on diaphragm blades, smooth focus from start to end.

The shim ring has been replaced with a thinner one to allow the lens—mounted via an M42 adapter (using an M39-to-M42 ring)—to focus at infinity. As a result, the aperture markings are positioned slightly to the left of the lens center, this is visible in the photos but does not affect usability.

Full service includes:

1. The lens is completely disassembled and the old hardened grease is removed.

2. Lubricated with new Molykote 33 Medium grease which is resistant to high and low temperatures (does not melt if the lens is left in the car on a hot summer day and does not run onto the diaphragm blades).

3. Washing the diaphragm blades from the grease that was there.

4. All lens glass is cleaned of dust or mold (if any).

5. The lens is assembled according to the instructions exactly as it is done at the factory.
